     Old Fashioned Bread Pudding

16 slices white bread or equivalent French Bread
7 cups milk
3 eggs
2 cups sugar
2 T vanilla
juice of 2 lemons
2 T lemon rind, grated
1 1/2 c raisins

Break bread into bite size pieces and place in 9x13 baking dish. Pour milk over bread and let saok while preparing remaining ingredients. Break eggs into a medium size bowl. Add sugar and blend together. Add vanilla, lemon juice and rind. Mix well. Stir raisins into bread and milk mixture until evenly distributed. Pour liquid mixture into pan and blend thoroughly. Place pan in center of preheated 350 oven and bake for 1 hours and 15 minutes or until well browned around ends.
