     Pound Cake

Ingredients
2 sticks butter
3 c sugar
6 eggs
3 c ap flour
1 c heavy cream
1 t vanilla
 

Instructions
Cream butter in a large bowl. Gradually mix in sugar. Beat in eggs, one at a time. Add flour and cream alternately. Blend well.
Stir in vanilla. Pour into a greased and floured tube pan. Place in a cold oven. Turn oven to 325 and bake 1 hour 15 minutes or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean.
Cool in pan 15 to 20 minutes. Cake will shrink as it cools.
