     Pork Tenderloin

Category   Entrees - Maindishes
Sub Category   None
Servings   4

Ingredients
2 small pork tenderloins
1 clove garlic, halved
1 t garlic salt
salt and freshly ground pepper, to taste
1/2 c plus 2 1/2 T dark corn syrup
1/2 c ketchup
1 c water
3 T soy sauce
potatoes, carrots, onions (optional)

Instructions
Preheat oven to 325. Rub tenderloins with cut clove of garlic, and sprinkle with garlic salt; salt and pepper generously. Place in open baking dish and cover tops with 2 1/2 T syrup to seal in the seasoning and glaze the meat.
Mix remaining corn syrup, ketchup, water and soy sauce and pour into dish around tenderloins. Bake uncovered for 2 1/2 to 3 hours.
Peeled potatoes, carrots and onions may be added and cooked for about 2 hours. Baste meat and vegetables every half hour with sauce. Make more sauce if needed.
To serve, slice meat thinly and strain sauce into gravy dish. If sauce is too thick, add a little warm water.
