     Fruit Buckle

Ingredients
4 c fresh berries (strawberries, blueberries, raspberries or a combo), or 8 c sliced peaches
1 c flour
1 c sugar
1 t baking powder
1 egg
1/2 c butter or margarine, melted
ice cream or whipped cream
 

Instructions
Preheat oven to 350. Place fruit in even layer in an 8x8 inch pan. Combine flour, sugar, baking powder and egg and blend into a crumbly mixture. Sprinkle evenly over the fruit. Pour melted butter over crumbs. Bake until bubbly and golden brown, about 40 minutes. Serve warm with ice cream or whipped cream.
Note - This dessert looks pretty in individual ramekins. Shorten baking time by about 10 minutes. Either way dish can be prepared ahead and warmed just prior to serving.
