     Apple Cobbler

Ingredients
1 stick butter or margarine
1 cup sugar
1 egg
1 tsp vanilla extract
1 cup flour
1 cup old-fashioned rolled oats
3/4 tsp cinnamon
8 granny smith apples, peeled, cored and sliced
 
3/4 cup sugar
1 1/2 Tbsps. cornstarch
1 1/2 tsps. cinnamon
1/4 tsp allspice

Instructions
Preheat oven to 350. Using an electric mixer on medium speed, beat butter with sugar in a large bowl till creamy. Blend in egg and vanilla. Stir in flour, oats, and cinnamon thoroughly.
In a separate bowl, combine sliced apples, sugar, cornstarch, cinnamon and allspice. Mix well. Evenly spoon apple mixture into a shallow 3 qt casserole. Spoon topping mixture evenly over apple filling. Bake 1 hr. or till golden brown.
Serving Suggestions
Serve warm or at room temp
