Combine minute rice, ground beef, egg, onion, slat, marjoram, pepper and 1/2 c. tomato juice. Mix together. Shape into 18 meatballs.
Place meatballs in an electric skillet. Add 1/2 t. sugar to the remaining tomato juice. Pour juice over meat balls. Bring mixture to a boil. Reduce heat and simmer, covered for 15 minutes, basting occasionally (about every 5 minutes.
