Preheat oven to 200. Line 2 cookie sheets with parchment paper. Whip egg whites and cream of tartar to soft peaks.

Add 1 tbs. of sugar at a time until stiff peaks form and egg whites are glossy.

|
|
Add vanilla and beat 30 seconds longer. Put mixture in ziploc bag and put a little bit in each corner of parchment paper to glue it down (otherwise the parchment paper moves and it will make a mess).

|
Pipe onto cookie sheets in 1 1/2 inch globs about a 1/2 inch apart. Bake for 1 1/2 hours then let cool for 15 minutes.
