Mary's Ginger Snaps

Ingredients
-
Cream-
-
1 1/2 c. shortening (yes, crisco...not butter or margarine)
-
2 c. white sugar
-
Add and beat in-
-
1/2 c. molasses
-
2 eggs
-
Add and beat in-
 
-
4. c white flour
-
1/2 t. salt
-
1/2 t. baking soda
-
2 t. cinnamon
-
2 t. cloves
-
2 t. ginger

Instructions
Chill the dough Then roll into balls and coat in white sugar. Place dough balls on an UNgreased cookie sheet. Press your fingers onto the dough balls to flatten. Bake at 375 degrees for 8-10 minutes. Check often as they burn easily. If you take them out early enough, the cookies will be perfectly chewy!
