     Sesame Stir Fry

Category   Entrees - Maindishes
Sub Category   None
Servings   6
Preptime   45min

Ingredients
2 large onions - chopped
4 cloves garlic - finely chopped
4 tbsp minced ginger
1/4 cup roasted sesame seeds - crushed with mortar & pestle
sprinkle of cayenne - to taste
2 large pork chops - thinly sliced
4 carrots - sliced into thin sticks
8 asparagus shoots - cut into 5cm pieces
handful of snap or snow peas

3 tbsp honey
splash of fish sauce
4 glugs of oil
splash of rice wine vinegar
1/2 cup to 1 cup of water
salt and pepper as desired

Instructions
Heat oil in wok on medium heat. Put in onions. Once onions have softened turn heat up and add pork and half the sesame along with ginger, garlic, cayenne. Leave lid off.
Once pork is mostly cooked (most moisture should have evaporated) add honey, fish sauce, vinegar and carrots. Add remaining sesame. Cook on high heat with lid on.
Once carrots are half cooked to desired tenderness add the asparagus (but not the tips) Cook a couple minutes then add asparagus tips and peas. Add water - just enough to yield a thin sauce.
Once peas are tender and sauce has thickened a bit remove from heat. Garnish with whole sesame seeds and serve.
Serving Suggestions
Serve on bed of rice.
