Boil chicken pieces in water, garlic, ginger, salt for 30 mins. Keep the soup.
In another pan heat oil, add onions, jeeru, taj, laving, mari, garlic, ginger, salt. Sautee until onions change colour. Add soup of water that you boiled chicken in (double amount of rice). Add chicken stock cube.
Bring water to boil, then add rice and potatoes. Let boil for 3-4 mins vigourously. Then reduce heat to low, cover and cook for 30 mins.
