     Chocolate Chip Toffee Bars

Ingredients
2 1/2 c all purpose flour
2/3 c firmly packed light brown sugar
3/4 c butter
1 egg slightly beaten
1 c coarsly chopped nuts
1 12 oz semi sweet chocolate chips
1 14 oz can Eagle Brand milk
1 10 oz pkg toffee bits
 

Instructions
Preheat oven to 350 degrees. In large bowl, stir together flour and sugar. Cut in margerine until mixture resembles coarse crumbs. Add egg, mix well. Stir in 1 1/2 c chocolate chips and nuts.
Reserve 1 1/2 cups of mixture. Press remaining crumb mixture in the bottom of a 13 x 9 inch pan. Bake 10 mins.
Pour Eagle Brand evenly over crust. Top with 1 1/2 c toffee bits. Sprinkle reserved crumb mixture and remaining 1/2 c chips over top.
Bake 25 to 30 mins or until golden brown. Sprinkle with remaining 1/4 c toffee bits. Cool completely then cut into bars.
