1/2 cup shortening / or margarine
|
| |
1 cup sugar

1 egg
|

1/2 cup raisins

1/2 cup cold coffee
|

1 cup diced apples
|

1 1/2 cups flour
|
| |
1/2 teaspoon salt (unless you use margarine)
|

1 teaspoon Cinnamon
|
|

1 teaspoon Cloves
|
| |
1 teaspoon baking soda
|
| |
1 cup nuts
|
| |
1 tea spoon vanilla
|
| |
Icing
|
| |
1/2 cup Brown Sugar
|
| |
1 stick Butter
|
| |
1 cup powdered sugar
|
| |
1 teaspoon vanilla
|

|
|
|
|
|
|
|
|
|
|
|
|
|

|
|
|

Instructions |

|
|
Cream or mix together shortening, sugar, and eggs.
|

|
Add cold coffee, mix well. Sift in flour, spice , and baking
soda. Add raisins, apples and nuts (if desired).

Bake at 350 for 45 min.
|
|
|
|
Mix together icing ingredients put frosting over warm cake.
