     Swiss Steak

Ingredients
2 3 lb round steak or swiss steak
1/4 c flour
1 t salt
1 t pepper
1 t paprika
1/4 c veg oil
1 large onion sliced
1 bell pepper sliced
4 oz can of mushrooms
 
14 oz bottle of ketchup
2 c water

Instructions
Cut steak in serving size pieces and trim fat. Measure flour and sift with salt, pepper and paprika. Pound seasoned flour into both sides of steak.
Brown meat on both sides in oil. Scatter onion and pepper and mushrooms over steak. Blend water and ketchup. Pour over meat.
Bake in 325 degree oven for 2 to 2/12 hours or until tender. This may also be cooked in a slow cooker.
