Preheat oven to 375. Combine flour, baking soda and salt in a small bowl.
Beat butter, grandulated sugar, brown sugar and vanilla in a large mixing bowl. Add eggs one at a time, beating well after each addition. Gradually beat in four mixture. Stir in morsels.
Drop by rounded tablespoon onto ungreased baking sheet. Bake in preheated 375 degree oven for 9 to 11 minutes or until golden brown. Let stand for 2 minutes; remove to wire racks to cool completely.
The secret to chewy cookies is to take them out before you think they are done.
