Mix sugar and margarine. Blend in eggs until smooth. Add bananas and water, beat 30 seconds. Stir in remaining ingredients except nuts and raisins just until moistened. Add nuts and raisins.
Pour into loaf pan and bake until a tooth pick inserted into the center comes out clean, about 55-60 minutes.
Cool 5 minutes. Loosen sides and remove from pan. Cool completely before slicing.
