6oz plain (semisweet) chocolate with more than 60% cocoa solids
4 tbsp water
1 tbsp golden (light corn) syrup
1 tbsp butter
Instructions
Peel and chop the bananas, then mash them with a
fork.
For the sauce, break up the chocolate and put into a
bowl over a pan of barely simmering water. Leave
undisturbed for 10 minutes until the chocolate has
melted, then add the water, syrup and butter ans
stir until smooth.
Place all the smoothie ingredients in a blender or
food processor and blend until smooth.
Pour into bid, tall glasses, then pour in some
chocolate sauce from a height. The sauce will swirl
around the glasses to give a marbled effect.

Suggestions
Pouring chocolate sauce like this cools it slightly on the way down, so that it thickens on contact with the cold smoothie.
