Beateggs until foamy. Sift together flour, salt, and sugar. Add scant 1-1/2 c. milk and add beaten eggs. Add melted shortening.
Bake on griddle - 1/4 c. to a pancake. Swirl by tilting skillet or gridle a little to thin out each pancake. Bake until edges take pancake turner easily - turn over and bak at medium heat. These are really like crepes.
