Combine the butter, sugar eggs, bananas and vanilla. Set aside. In a separate bowl, sift together flour, baking soda and bakind powder.
Add to the banana mixture and combine until moist. Gently fold in the chocolate chips.
Line a loaf pan with parchment paper and pour in mixture. Bake for 1 hour until a knife inserted in the centre comes out clean. Cool on a rack for 10 minutes; remove from pan and continue to cool on rack.
