6 slices bacon, cooked crisp, drained and crumbled
2 sliced green onions
2 tsp. yellow mustard
1 tsp. fresh squeezed lemon juice
Instructions
(Using a serrated knife, cut bread crosswise into 1-inch slices, cutting to but not through the bottom crust.)That is how the recipe reads. I slice the bread in half and spread the cheese mixture on both halves. Bake in oven or put on the grill until done.
In a small bowl, stir together the butter, cheese, bacon, onions, mustard, and lemon juice. Spread mixture on both sides of each bread slice. Wrap loaf tightly in heavy foil.
Grill uncovered over med. coals 10 mins. or til cheese melts. Or grill over med heat covered 10 mins. on gas grill.
