In a bowl, or big ziplock bag; combine hamburger with garlic powder, onion, A.1. and teriyaki sauce. Mix exceptionally well.
Make patties between 1/4 - 1/2 inch in thickness. Make a decent hole in center of patty, fill with cheese crumbles. Be sure to press meat back over cheese, as even as possible on each side.
Apply patties to medium heat, cook until preferred taste. About 3-5 minutes before removing from heat add a cheese slice to each patty.
Remove from heat, apply toppings of your choice.
