     Bratwurst Potato Skillet

Ingredients
3 medium red potaoes, cubed
1 c beef broth
5 fully cooked bratwurst, cut in 1/2 in slices
2 medium tart apples, peeled, cored, cubed
1 medium onion, chopped
1 t salt
2 T sugar
3 T butter or margerine
 

Instructions
In a skillet, bring potatoes and broth to a boil. Reduce heat, simmer, uncovered for 10 minutes. Add brats, apples, onion and salt. Cook 5-10 minutes or until potaoes are tender and broth has evaporated. Push mixture to the side of the pan, place sugar in the middle and cook until sugar is melted and golden brown. Add butter, cook and stir until butter is melted. Toss with the brat mixture, serve immediately.
This was one of those recipes that sounded so weird to me that I thought it had to be good.
