     Baked Mostaccioli

Ingredients
8 oz. mostaccioli noodles
1 1/2 lbs hamburger
1/2 cup chopped onion
1 clove minced garlic
28 oz. can tomatoes cut-up (undrained)
1 -8oz can tomato sauce
1 - 6oz. can tomato paste
1 - 4oz can mushrooms
1 tsp. salt
 
1 tsp. sugar
1 tsp. dried basil
1/8 tsp. pepper
1/2 cup grated parmesan cheese
1 - 6oz. pkg. sliced mozzarella cheese

Instructions
Cook mostaccioli in large amount of boiling water until almost tender, about 7 minutes. Drain. In a large pan, cook beef, onion, green pepper adn garlic until meat is browned. Drain off fat. Add undrained tomatoes, sauce, paste, undrained mushrooms, salt, sugar, basil, pepper, bay leaf, and 1/2 cup water. Cook and simmer 30 minutes. Remove bay leaf and stir in noodles. Turn into a 9 X 13 inch dish. Sprinkle with parmesan cheese. Cover with foil. Bake 35 minutes at 350 degrees. Remove foil. Place mozzarella slices on topo and bake a few minutes longer.
