     Biscuits Supreme

2 c. flour
4 t. baking pwd.
1/2 t. salt
1/2 t. cream of tartor
2 t. sugar
1/2 c. shortening
For drop biscuits 2/3 c. milk - 1/3 c. milk for rolled and cut biscuits

Mix together flour, baking pwd, salt, cream of tartor and sugar. Cut in shortening until dough resembles crumbs.
Add 2/3 c. milk (- 1/3 c. milk if you're making drop biscuits) and stir with fork.
If making drop biscuits, skip to step 4. Turn out on floured surface and kneed 5-6 times. Cut with biscuit cutter.
Place, or drop by spoonfull dough into 8 or 9 inch baking dish and bake at 450 for 10-12 min.
Serving Suggestions
These can also be used for apple dumplings.
