     Blackberry Biscut Dessert

Category   Desserts - Breads
Sub Category   None

Ingredients
1/2 c. butter, melted in 8x8 baking dish
1 c. - 1/4 c. - 1/8 c. sugar
1 c. water
1 1/2 c self rising flour (or 1 1/2 c flour, 1/4 t. salt and 2 1/4 t. bkg pwd)
1/4 c. butter
1/3 c. warm milk
2 c. blackberries
1/2 t cinnamon

Instructions
Heat water in small sauce pan and dissolve 1 c. sugar. Set aside.
Mix together flour, 1/4 c. sugar and cut in 1/4 c. butter. Add warm milk. Keep mixing until dough is soft. Roll our dough to 1/4 inch thickness. Pour blackberries over dough and sprinkle with cinnamon and 1/8 c. sugar.
Roll up like a jelly roll. Cut in 1 inch slices and place in melted butter in pan. Pour water mixture over the top and bake at 350 for 45 min.
Sprinkle cinnamon and sugar over the top and bake for another 15 min. This can be done adding peaches as well as blackberries in a double batch. It's messy and not as pretty, but it's good!
