     Double Chocolate Peanut Butter Chip Cookies

1 bag (24 oz) semisweet chocolate chips
1 c. butter, softened
1 c. brown sugar
1 t. vanilla
2 large eggs
2 1/2 c. flour
1 1/2 t. baking soda
1/2 t. salt
1 bag (24 oz) peanut butter chips
1 c. pecan halves

Heat oven to 350. Heat 1 1/2 c of the chocolate chips in saucepan over low heat, stirring constatnly until melted. Cook to room temp, but don't let it become firm again.
Beat butter, brown sugar and vanilla with electric mixer on medium speed until light and fluffy. Beat in eggs and melted chocolate until light and fluffy. Stir in flour, baking soda and salt. Stir in remaining 2 1/2 c. chocolate chips, peanut butter chips and pecans.
Drop by level 1/4 cupfulls about 2 inches apart onto ungreased cookie sheet.
Bake 12 to 14 min. or until set. Cool 1-2 min on sheet before moving to wire rack to finish cooling.
