     King Crab Legs with Butter

Category   Entrees - Maindishes
Sub Category   None
Servings   2-4
Preptime   20 min.

Ingredients
Packaged frozen or thawed crab legs
large pot for crab legs
small pot or microwave dish for butter
1/2 tsp salt per every 2 crab legs
1 stick unsalted butter or margarine

Instructions
Fill a large pot with water. Choose a pot that crab legs can fit in easily without being too crowded. Add salt, and cover. Heat on high until water is at a rolling boil. If you do not have a pot large enough, you may break the legs at the joints to fit a smaller pot.
Add crab legs to boiling water. Turn heat down to medium-high, and continue to cook for 3-4 minutes.
Prepare melted butter- Put a half stick (4 TBSP) in microwavable dish, cover loosely with plastic wrap or wax paper (or a paper towel). Microwave for 20 seconds, check, and repeat until butter is melted. If microwave is not available, heat butter in small pan on LOW heat until melted.
Drain crab legs and serve crab legs with the emlted butter in a dipping bowl. Use nut crackers or small forks to crack and remove meat.
Serving Suggestions
lots of napkins and paper towels!
