Cream shortening and sugars. Add eggs and beat well.

Combine dry ingredients and oats and mix into shortening mixture.
Add vanilla and mix well.
|

|
In a seperate pot cover rasins with water and bring to a boil. Remove from heat and let stand 5-10 min. Pour off liquid and add rasins to cookie dough. Stir gently as to not break up rasins.

|
Bake 350 for 8-10 min. or until done.
