     German Apple Cake

Ingredients
2 c. flour
2 c. sugar
1/2 t. salt
2 t. cinnamon
1 t. baking soda
1 c. chopped pecans or walnuts
3 eggs
1 c. salad oil
1 t. vanilla
 
4 c. thinly sliced apples (3 1/2-4 medium apples, peeled and cored)
Icing-
6 oz cream cheese
2 T. melted butter
1 t. vanilla
2 c. pwd sugar

Instructions
Combine all dry ingredients and mix well.
In seperate bowl combine eggs, oil and vanilla. Add to dry ingredients and stir. Fold in apples.
Spread in greased and floured 13x9 baking dish. Bake at 350 for 50-60 min. Cool and frost.
ICING- Combine cheese, butter and vanilla. Add pwd sugar and blend until smooth. Spread on cooled cake.
