     Cream Cheese Pound Cake

1 cup butter, softened
1/2 cup shortening
3 oz cream cheese, softened
2 1/2 cups sugar
5 eggs
3 cups cake flour, sifted
1 t baking powder
1/2 t salt
1 cup buttermilk
1 t vanilla
1 t lemon extract

Cream butter, shortening and cream cheese; gradually add sugar, beating at medium speed until light and fluffy. Add eggs, one at a time, beating after each addition.
Combine flour, baking powder and salt; add to creamed mixture alternately with buttermilk, stirring just until blended. Stir in flavorings.
Spoon batter into a greased and floured 10-inch tube pan; bake at 350 for 1 1/2 hours or until a wooden pick comes out clean.
Let cake cool in pan 10 to 15 minutes; remove from pan, and cool completely.
