2 pounds baking potatoes, peeled and thinly sliced
3 c freshly grated Gruyère
grated nutmeg, salt and pepper
Instructions
Preheat oven to 375. Coat a baking dish (14x9x2)
with 1 T of the butter. Arrange half of the
potato slices on the bottom of the dish. Layer
1/2 of the ham on top. Sprinkle 1 1/2 cups of the
cheese over the ham and potatoes. Season with
nutmeg, salt and pepper and repeat layers. Season
again and dot the remaining 3 T of butter on top.
Bake about 50 minutes.
