Boil shiitake mushrooms until it softens. Cut into slivers.

Soak dried seaweed pieces in a bowl of hot water until it softens. Rinse salt off of.

|
Add 1/4 cup hot water to a tbs of miso paste and smash until the paste is dissolved. Add this mixture to the rest of the hot water. Continue until you get the soup taste to your liking. Optional dashi can be added here for more flavor.

Cut tofu into cubes.
Add tofu, seaweed, and shiitake mushrooms to soup.
