     Mac and Cheese

Ingredients
1 pound elbow macaroni, twists, or bowties
2 Tbs. butter
2 Tbs. Flour
1 tsp. salt
1/2 Tsp. pepper
2 cups milk
2 cups grated sharp cheddar cheese
 

Instructions
Boil pasta as directed.
While pasta is cooking, prepare a basic white sauce- While pasta is cooking, make a basic white sauce- Melt butter over medium heat in a saucepan. Add flour and salt and stir to make a roux. When lightly brown, add milk and stir constantly until mixture begins to thicken. Add black pepper and cheese. Stir to melt.
Add cheese sauce to drained pasta and stir to blend.
Correct seasonings and serve.
Serving Suggestions
Small chunks of ham or broccoli are good added to this dish. Serve with a salad for a complete meal.
