     Sausage Biscuits

Ingredients
1/2 lb. bulk sausage
2 cups Self-Rising Flour
1/4 c. shortening
3/4 c. buttermilk
 

Instructions
Cook sausage in a small skillet over medium heat until done, stirring to crumble. Drain.
Cut shortening into flour until mixture resembles coarse meal. Stir into buttermilk with a fork until just blended. Stir in sausage. Roll dough to 1/2 inch thickness on a lightly floured surface. Cut out with a 2 inch cutter. Place biscuits on a lightly greased baking sheet.
Bake at 450 degrees for 10 minutes or until lightly brown.
