Combine butter and flour in a saucepan. Cook over med heat until smooth, stirring constantly. Stir in the tomato paste, onion, celery, garlic and parsley.

Cook until the vegetables are tender, stirring all the time. Add the chicken stock, wine, worcesterhsire sauce, bay leaves, thyme, salt, white pepper, cayenne pepper, and catsup. Gently stir in the crab meat and simmer 45 minutes, stirring frequently.
