     Granny's Peanut Brittle

Ingredients
1 cup Karo light syrup
1 cup white sugar
1 tablespoon water
2 cups raw peanuts (or any preferred nut or nuts)
3/4 teaspoon soda
1/4 teaspoon salt
1/4 teaspoon cinnamon
 

Instructions
Combine in iron skillet. Cook over medium heat. When it boils turn the heat down some. Stir occasionally, then frequently when the peanuts pop (or when it turns golden brown and at hard crack stage).
Prepare soda, salt and cinnamon mixture before hand. After sugar, peanuts, Karo etc are cooked add the dry mixture immediately. Stir quickly. Spread out on greased cookie sheet.
