1/2 cup butter
1 cup sugar
4 eggs
1 teaspoon vanilla
1 (1 lb. can) chocolate syrup
1 cup and 1 tablespoon flour
1/2 teaspoon baking powder
1/4 teaspoon salt
1/2 cup chopped nuts

Beat butter with sugar until light and fluffy. Beat in eggs, two at a time; then beat in vanilla. Mix well. Stir in chocolate syrup.
Sift together baking powder, salt and flour. Stir into chocolate syrup mixture. Add nuts.
Pour into greased 15x10x1-inch jelly roll pan and spread evenly. Bake in 350 degree oven for 22 to 25 minutes or until slight imprint remains when touched lightly with finger.
Top with Brownie Icing when cooled.

Serve topped with Brownie Icing
