     Roman Meal and Asparagus

Ingredients
2 regular sliced loaves of roman meal or whole wheat bread rolled very thin
one 8 ounce package of cream cheese
8 ounces of sharp cheddar grated cheese
1/2 cup mayonnaise, dash salt and pepper and garlic salt
1/2 stick butter (maybe more if needed)
1-2 cans of asparagus (long stems) drained well
 

Instructions
Cut crust off bread. Roll out each piece of bread till flat. Spread with melted butter. Mix all other ingredients and spread on bread. Add one piece of asparagus and roll bread tightly around.
Can be baked right away or frozen for later use. To freeze- Put about 6-8 rolls, 2 at a time in a long sheet of saran wrap. Place on cookie sheet and freeze. After frozen, put in plastic bags.
Bake at 375 degrees for 15-20 minutes on a cookie sheet. Put seam side down on sheet. If frozen, thaw before baking.
Can be served in long pieces or cut in half for smaller hors d'ouvres.
