In a small mixer bowl at medium speed, beat butter and chocolate until smooth.
At low speed, beat in powdered sugar. Beat in 4 tbsp milk, vanilla and salt until smooth, adding additional milk if needed, or until spreading consistencey.
Frost Old-Fashioned Chocolate Cake or cake of your choice.
Makes about 2 cups.
