     Cooked Ice Cream

Ingredients
1 qt. milk
¼ to ½ c. flour
2 c. sugar
4 eggs
2 cans evaporated milk
¾ tsp. salt
1 ½ tsp. vanilla
 

Instructions
Combine milk, flour, sugar, and eggs in double boiler. Cook to custard consistency. Cool.
Add evaporated milk, salt, and vanilla. Fill ice cream freezer ¾ full with mixture.
Freeze according to freezer directions. It’ll require lots of turning (about 20 min.), rock salt, and ice! So delicious!
Keep chocolate syrup and maple syrup on hand to top when ready.
