1/2 cup (1 stick) butter, softened in the microwave
2 tablespoons of honey
1 egg
1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract
1 cup flour
1/2 teaspoon of baking soda
1/4 teaspoon of salt
1 3/4 cups rolled oats
1 cup of rice krispies cereal
1/2 cup wheat germ (optional)
1/3 cup of flaxseed meal (optional)
1 cup of chocolate chips
1/2 cup nuts
Instructions
Preheat oven to 350. Grease 8x8 or 7x11 pan with nonstick spray.
Combine softened butter, sugar, honey, vanilla, and egg. Then add all of the remaining dry ingredients and stir until mixed thoroughly. Add chocolate chips and nuts last.
Pour mixture into the baking pan and press down firmly so it all sticks together.
Bake for 20-25 minutes until just golden brown. Let it cool before you cut them.
