|
Cream shortening and sugars until well blended. Add eggs. Beat till light.

|
Mix boiling water and oats and let stand 20 minutes
|
|
|
|
Add flour mixture to sugar and egg mixture. Blend well. Add oat mixture and mix well.
|
|
|
|
Pour into greased 9x13 pan. Bake 350 degrees 30 minutes.
For topping- Mix next 5 ingredients. Spread on baked cake and place under broiler until topping bubbles and browns. 5 minutes or less
