Category   Entrees - Maindishes
Sub Category   Grilling

Ingredients
1 lb flank steak (or top sirloin)
1 head of lettus
Marinade
1/4 cup soy
1 teaspoon rice wine vinegar
2 medium garlic cloves, minced
2 teaspoons crushed (toasted) sesame seeds
1/4 teaspoon cayanne
2 green onions chopped

2 tablespoons Asian sesame oil
1/2 teaspoon pepper

Instructions
To aid in slicing, place meet in freezer 30-45 minutes. Using a long, sharp knife with a thin blade, slice meat into thin strips while still partially frozen.
Combine all marinade ingredients in a small bowl and blend well. Pour marinade over sliced meat. Cover and marinate in refrigerator 8 hours or overnight. Stir occasionally.
Remove meat from marinade. Transfer marinade to a small saucempan and simmer until slightly thickened. Cook beef strips on a medium-hot grill 1 to 2 minutes per side for medium-rare. Arrange meat on a serving platter with lettus leaves on the side. Pour marinade over meat. To eat, place a strip of beef on a lettus leaf, roll up and eat with fingers.
Alternatel, thread uncooked beef onto bamboo skewers that have been soaked in water. Weaving skewer in and out of meat to create a serpentine effect. Grill skewers 1 to 2 minutes per side. Spoon sauce over skewers when cooked. Serve immediately.
