1 lb dry navy beans, picked over, washed and soaked overnight

Instructions |
|
|
Add fresh water to beans, 2 quarts. Add all ingredients. Cover and simmer 3 3 1/2 hours. Cut meat off bone and return to soup. mash beans slightly.
