     Aunt Twila's Pumpkin Desert

Ingredients
32 ginger cookies 2 inch in diameter
1 cup pumpkin
1/2 tsp ginger
1/4 tsp nutmeg
1/2 cup brown sugar
1/2 tsp salt
1/2 tsp cinnamon
1 quart vanilla ice cream, softened
1/2 cup pecans
 
Instructions
Place 1/2 of cookies in bottom of 9 inch square pan. Mix ingredients except for ice cream and nuts. Add ice cream, mixing thoroughtly. Pour half of mixture over cookies, top with remaining cookies and cover with remaining ice cream. Top with pecans and cover pan with plastic wrap. Freeze until firm.
