Preheat oven to 300 degrees. Pack the first 3 ingredients into the bottom of a 9x13 - inch baking pan. In a bowl of an electric mixer, cream the cheese and add the eggs one at a time. Gradually add the 1 cup of sugar and stir in 1 1/2 teaspoons of the vanilla.
Pour the cream cheese mixture over the crumb mixture and bake for 1 hour. Cool for 5 minutes.
In another bowl, combine the sour cream , remaining 1/2 cup of the sugar and add the reamining 1 1/2 teaspoon of vanilla. when cake has cooled top with the sour cream mixture. Bake for 5 mintues longer. Refrigerate.
