     Italian Beef

Preptime   6-8 hours

Ingredients
4 lb rump or chuck roast
2 1/2 cups water
1 tsp parsley flakes
1 tsp basil
1 tsp bay leaf
1 (8 oz) can tomato sauce
1 tsp pepper
1 tsp garlic powder
1 tsp leaf oregano
 
1 pkg Italian salad dressing mix

Instructions
Put roast in crock pot. Combine the rest of ingredients and cook until mixture comes to a boil. Pour over roast in crock pot, cook all night on low or 6-8 hours on high.
About 1-1 1/2 hours before serving, flake the meat apart. Serve with french bread.
