     Refried Beans

Ingredients
1 lb dried pinto beans, sorted and rinsed
2 medium tomatoes, diced
2 T onion flakes
1 1/2 T garlic flakes
2 slices bacon, cooked crisp, crumbled, reserve fat
2 medium serrano chilies, seeded and diced fine
 

Instructions
Put all ingredients in crock pot, including reserved fat. Cover with water about one inch over the top. Cover and cook on high until done. Salt to taste.
My aunt gave me this recipe. I used peppered bacon, also I put a little water in the bacon pan to loosen up the browned bits. These are really good with Tostito Scoops for an appetizer. You could add a couple more chilies to taste, depending on how hot you like them and how hot the peppers are.
Serving Suggestions
With Tostito Scoops as an appetizer.
