Cook noodles in boiling salted water until al dente. Drain and submerge in cold water. Drain again and set aside.
In a large skillet, melt butter. Add garlic and saute for 1-2 minutes. Add mushrooms and lobster meat and saute until firm and white, about 3 minutes. Once mushrooms are cooked and lobster is hot, add cream and bring to a slow boil.
Whisk in cheese and season with salt and pepper to taste. Add fettuccini noddles and stir. Bring back to a simmer and serve immediately.
