     Portuguese Bean Soup

Servings   4 quarts
Ingredients
1 lb Portuguese Sausage (sliced)
1 lg. carrot diced
2 potatoes diced
1 sm onion chopped
1 qt. water
1 can tom. sauce
1 T. salt
2 cans kidney beans
1 lg. head (2-3 lbs) cabbage
 
Instructions
Combine all except beans and cabbage. Bring to boil - lower heat and simmer 20 minutes. Cover add beans and cabbage - simmer 20 minutes.
