Sift dry ingredients together. Cut in shortening (well). Add buttermilk and yeast (which has been dissolved in 1/2 cup lukewarm water).

Mix with spoon until flour is moistened. DO NOT OVERMIX. Place in greased covered bowl and keep in refrigerator (for weeks)

|
To use, roll dough on floured board 1/2 to 3/4-inch thick and cut. Let rise in warm place about 2 hours.
|
|
|
Bake 400 degrees for 12 minutes on lightly greased sheet.
